Working as a group is essential in interior design because it mirrors the collaborative nature of the real-world design industry. Projects often involve input from architects, contractors, engineers, and clients, so being able to communicate ideas clearly, listen actively, and build on others' strengths is key to a successful outcome. I included the group project Pop-Up Shop in my portfolio because it highlights my ability to work effectively in a team setting, contribute creative ideas, and adapt through shared decision-making. This project demonstrated how different perspectives can enhance the design process, resulting in a dynamic and well-rounded final product. It also showcased real collaboration—dividing responsibilities, resolving conflicts, and aligning on a common vision—all skills that are just as critical as the design itself.
